There is nothing worse than walking around the house and ending up with blackened feet or dirty, grimy socks. Though it is touch to keep your floors squeaky clean and your carpets springtime fresh, it is possible. The right tools will help you immensely in maintaining the most beautiful carpets and floors you can imagine.
For carpets, an excellent vacuum cleaner is the first line of defense in removing daily dirt build-up. There is no point in doing a deep clean until you have first done a surface clean of your carpet. Suck up all the dirt first, and then worry about getting the ground-in stuff and the ugly stains.
A steam cleaner will help you to eliminate the tougher dirt and stains in your carpet. The steam cleaning action will penetrate down to the very fibers of the carpet and break up the ground-in dirt and stains that the vacuum left behind.
Once your carpets are clean, make sure you try and keep them that way! Spills of sugary drinks like soda or juice only attract more dirt to the area, and deep red or purple drinks like wine are very difficult to get out.
